ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) showcased a very innovative computer hardware 2 months before 2014 ends. They launched their new innovation - LIVA - to the Philippine Market. Liva,
the world’s smallest Windows-based mini-PC kit is now here in the
Philippines. Offering all the features of much larger PCs, the LIVA Mini-PC is a complete solution and offers convenience for modern
digital
living, general computing, flash-based casual gaming, and basic
applications. So what's inside the Liva Mini PC Kit box?
For as low as Php 8,000+, this palm-size Liva Mini PC can be use wherever you go. As you purchased the PC Kit, the parts of the Liva are separated. In short, you need to assemble it to complete the whole Liva. So if you are actually a Do-it-Yourself-er, assembling things like this Liva is perfect for you. Before you assemble each part, let's enumerate what's inside the Liva Mini PC Kit:
Motherboard - This very small motherboard is the heart of Liva. With Intel Celeron for its processor, equipped with LAN port, USB ports, HDMI port and VGA port, this fanless motherboard offers high performance and enhanced function. This mother board is based on Intel Bay Trail-M SoC.
Antenna - These 2 antenna is to be attached to the Bluetooth/Wireless Card. It comes in 2 different colors. The instructions on how to put these antennas to the card is available at the installation guide.
Bluetooth/Wireless Card - This NGFF, Key E type wireless card supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. It will be attached to the NGFF card slot at the underside of the motherboard.
Power Adapter - 5V/3A/15W DC Adapter interchangeable to either TW-US plug (Flat Plug) or TW-EU plus (rounded plug).
Cover - You won't be needing anymore screws to keep the covers together. Once you completely assemble the inner parts of Liva, just carefully put the motherboard to the case and lock the covers in place.
User Guide/DVD/Quick Installation Guide - Of course these things should not be missing inside the kit as these will be your guide for installing Liva from its assembly through its operation.
You might be worrying about the assembly of parts of the Liva. It's quite easy actually (since I tried assembling my own Liva). But of course, ECS assured that they will be launching a version of Liva which is ready-to-use and without the hassle of assembling and operating it. Liva Mini PC Kit costs around Php 8,000+ and now available in the market.
